fanlisting

A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject (in this case for lancer) that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join.
There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.
Description from tfl.

lancer

class: Lancer
real name: Cúchulainn
likes: girls (especially those with guts), fighting, fishing and hanging around.
dislikes: double-dealers, people who takes advantage on others, rules breakers
master: Bazette Fraga McRemitz (originally) and Kotomine Kirei
weapon: Gáe Bulg (his weapon as legendary character, also known as the Lightning Spear)
noble phantasms: Gáe Bulg (the legendary spear that it's famous for always piercing the heart of the target. A powerful malediction that can't be easilly avoided).

personality: Lancer is a proud warrior, someone who can't abandon a fight just because he's loosing. He's ready to fight till the end, for the sake of his fighting will and also for his Master (he obeys but he doesn't seem to be that attached to the person who summoned him). He easilly loses his cool though, probably because he enjoys too much battling with strng warriors as him. He's very agile and skilled and he's conscious of his strenght. He's not interesting in killing people, though he wants to strictly follow the rules of the war and that's the reason why he persecute Shirou at the beginning of Fate. He's very keen on his mission and somehow professional in his "work". He's noble and he can't really stand people who're joking with him or simply betraying his trust. He's also easilly touched by other's problems and if he chooses to protect someone, he'll do his best till the very end.

spoilers warning!!!

personal history: Lancer mainly joined the War because it was his own choice. he was already a sort of semi-god and thus an heroic spirit himself. He was probably thinking that joining the War could be a good way to meet new adversaries and fight against powerful warriors...avoiding a boring eternity.
He was summoned by a magician of the Association (Bazette, protagionist of Hollow Atarxia), who was misteriously assassinated and then recruited by Kotomine Kirei (who's teh one responsible for her supposed death, since he ripped her arm to get the command spell to control Lancer). He's the second Servant to appear in Fate, sent out to check the other masters and to try their abilities. He's not supposed to fight at his full potential and he's commanded to come back by his "despiteful" Master (because he doesn't admire him at all) when he was finally discovering something more about his enemies (and actually risking his safety too much). He eventually finds out that Kirei summoned an other Servant other than him (although Gilgamesh was already there since the previous war) and got mad at him, breaking his contact and defending Shirou and Saber from his master's attacks. In UBW he's still a good guy. He fights against Shirou because he's commanded too and he willingy sacrifices himself to let him escape once again from Kirei (and also Archer this time). His master, mad at him, oblidges him to stab himself with his lance, but Lancer was at least able to kill Kirei in his last, deadly shot.
In the last scenario Lancer is less present than in the previous ones since he's soonely defeated by True Assassin and assimilated by him to complete his personality.
At the end Lancer can't complain about his destiny. He's able to fight and enjoy himself, that's what he cares the most.
